The effects of climate change on our ocean are starting to show. Circulation patterns are changing, sea levels are rising, the temperature continues to increase, water is becoming more acidic and oxygen is being lost. In addition to endangering marine ecosystems, these changes may also have a negative effect on people’s well-being. However, if we can cut down on our emissions and manage development in a sustainable way, the ocean can be a powerful ally in the fight against climate change!

Because the ocean is important to communities all around the world, this year’s COP Ocean Pavilion was a virtual fair, to engage with those who could not attend COP27 in person. This allowed for a fair that was more accessible, long-lasting, and with a bigger audience.

MISSION ATLANTIC took part in this initiative with its own dedicated stand. You can still visit it, along with others, at cop27oceanpavilion.vfairs.com/en/hall .
