IEO’s Center of Cadiz is leader of the Canary Current system Case Study. IEO will contribute to the development of an ecosystem assessment framework (WP1), to make its comprehensive time series (hydrography, pollution, plankton, acoustics, biota) and datasets (including recently generated seabed geology, bathymetry and microplastics) accessible and interoperable (WP2), the mapping of the latter (WP3 & WP4), the definition of state, drivers and tipping points (WP5) and the evaluation of risks and vulnerability of the Canary Current case studies (WP7) as well as to build capacity (WP8) and the engagement of society (WP9).
