MISSION ATLANTIC will offer a special opportunity for students in the 14-month Ocean Sustainability, Governance, and Management MSc program at World Maritime University in Malmö, Sweden.

World Maritime University is a graduate university, capacity building, and research hub for the UN, and is operated under the International Maritime Organization. Many of its students are early-mid career diplomats and decision-makers working in maritime and ocean sectors.

Within the framework of the project, MISSION ATLANTIC will offer opportunities for students working in Atlantic bordering countries in the Global South (including Brazil and South Africa and countries outside of the MISSION ATLANTIC consortium) to apply to co-create their MSc research topics with MISSION ATLANTIC scientists.

MISSION ATLANTIC scientists will also offer mentoring and/or access to tools as part of the collaboration. The MSc students participating in the program will be able to apply for funding to support visits to mentors, and to other MISSION ATLANTIC collaborators in the region to develop projects and receive training in tools.
